Get your Slush ticket – pitch your idea on the local competition

For a third consecutive year, the Embassy of Finland in the Republic of Serbia and Innovation Fund are organizing the local Slush competition for innovative companies.

Local startups will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas that support sustainable development goals at the local Slush competition to be held in Belgrade on September 6th 2017 @ Science Technology Park Belgrade.

The winner will enter the Slush Global Impact Accelerator Program and get a ticket for the Slush conference in Helsinki in November and December.


  • Have the vision to solve pressing challenges globally
  • Have a business idea that has gained some traction, but is still in an early phase
  • Have a solution that supports the sustainable development goals (SDGs)
  • Have potential to scale
  • Have skills and drive to succeed
  • Have at least one working prototype

What is Slush ?

Slush is Europe’s leading startup and technology event, which gives startups opportunities to present their ideas to international investors and professional public. In 2016, this two-day conference brought together 17,500 attendees from 130 nations, among more than 2,300 startups and 1,100 investigators. This year Slush will be held on November 30th and December 1st.

What is Slush Global Impact Accelerator ?

In collaboration with the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and multiple partners globally, including the Innovation Fund, Slush Global Impact Accelerator organises a program of support for startups to develop business ideas, establish a network of contacts, connect with investors and potential partners, as well as presenting their products at the Slush Conference. The program includes work with mentors before the Conference and a local camp (boot camp) from November 22 to December 2. Last year, 40 startups from 21 countries participated in the program. Transportation, accommodation and other program related costs will be covered by the Finnish organiser.

What will the Global Impact Accelerator participants receive?

•  Online pre-mentoring program organized for all the selected participants;

•  Helsinki boot camp program from November 22–December 2;

•  Skills workshops and capacity building with the leaders from all around the world;

•  Industry specific matchmaking sessions co-organised with the leading organisations;
