DNET’s “mTicketingAR, platform for purchasing tickets”

Company DNET Inovacioni Centar za Informacione Tehnologije from Novi Sad has after 12 month implementation successfully completed project mTicketingAR. mTicketingAR is a platform utilizing Augmented Reality concept that enables purchase of tickets and vouchers for sports, cultural and other events by using smart phones. All functionalities that were initially planned were implemented and the company is at the moment implementing the final phase of installing the pilot version, as well as integration with Telekom Serbia system whose customers will be the first ones to have the opportunity to use this new system in Serbia. Apart from the originally planned functionalities, during the project implementation additional functionalities were defined and implemented, which will enable even better positioning of the solution on the global market. One of the important new functions is support to Passbook format that is slowly becoming a global format for delivery of tickets and vouchers…

The system enables the presentation of information of the events based on the location or QR code marker and also by using a filter through which you can search the base by entering different criteria e.g. genre, place and date of the event etc. Commercial pilot version of the system is planned to be released in the September in cooperation with company NO LIMIT FUN 5D.

In the initial period purchase of tickets for 5D cinema in Novi Sad will be possible. At the same time, the team will actively work on expanding the number of places and events where it is possible to use mTicketingAR system. Also they will work on expanding the system so that it can be used by subscribers of other mobile operators in Serbia. After that, the application will be promoted globally which is why the team is working on integration of other payment possibilities such as PayPal.

Project mTicketingAR is developed in 2012 through the Mini Grants Program of the Innovation Fund in the amount of EUR 76.300. As part of the project, company used funds intended for specific training to travel to San Francisco (USA) in November 2012, where it participated in training called “Silicon Valley business development”. This training was organized by the US Market Access Center and during this event DNET received useful information about conditions and demands in regards to launching their product on the US market. Also, the training enabled the company to identify the needs of the market and create a business development strategy for its product.

Parent company of DNET is DunavNET ltd. from Novi Sad, founded in 2006 with focus on development of innovative solutions based on internet and mobile technologies, focusing on the application in smart cities.

A fact that DNET was once again awarded through Mini Grants Program in 2013. for development of another innovative solution in area of IT technology, shows that company is doing business successfully and emphasizes the importance of the support of the Innovation Fund in the realization of innovative projects of Serbian companies and their entrance on the foreign markets.
